Protect the sanctity of marriage by not calling what gays do "marriage"...it's somewhat discriminatory, but it really is just a parntnership couples validate through church and god. What a gay couple share should still qualify for the government's recognition for next of kin, taxation, etc.

Nope. Just someone who thinks our government has a role in enforcing religious morals. I know lots of non-zealots that are devout believers, they just don't believe in using government to force their values on others. Oh, and those who believe the Jesus cannot return to the Temple Mount as long as it's a mosque.
