Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola suffered what appeared to be a concussion against the New Orleans Saints in the third quarter of Sunday's game.
After taking a handoff on a reverse, he shot up toward the sideline where he was met by Saints safety Rafael Bush. Bush appeared to collide helmet to helmet with Amendola. The fifth-year wide receiver remained on the ground for some time before being helped up.
The Patriots announced he would not return to the game with a head injury.
Patriots cornerback Aqib Talib (hip) and offensive lineman Dan Connolly (head) have also been injured in the game. Talib's return is questionable but Connolly is out.
