they say that absence seizures are where you stare for a few seconds are blinking and head nodding a absence seizure to or is it something else. The reason i am asking is that my son has been head nodding and blinking all thru out the day. Can something like this cause brain damage?

My 6 yr old has Epilepsy and is severely developmentally delayed. She has recently started sleeping all night long, but I feel most of the night she is just laying in there awake due to seizure activity. How can I help her to sleep and to catch up on her learning to be closer to a 6 yr olds level?
