Live blog: Earthquake in Maine felt in Boston area.

A 4.0 magnitude earthquake struck Maine about 20 miles west of Portland tonight and was felt as far south as Boston, according to the US Geological Survey.

    In JP, 3rd floor of a triple decker, house shook pretty good for a solid 10 seconds. No damage.

    Felt like a vehicle hit the condo in Natick. Lasted few seconds, new it was an earthquake!

    Felt it in Carlisle - like someone walking heavily upstairs, but no one else was home! Desk lamp swaying confirmed it wasn't my imagination. Only lasted about 5 seconds.

    At first it felt like a strong wind, or a truck rumbling by, but then when it was still happening 6 seconds later it occurred to me it might be an earthquake. I hope everyone is okay.

    Springfield, MA: I didn't feel it, but I was walking home. Apparently Westfield (30 minutes west) felt it.

    Felt the house shake for a 2-3 seconds, then stop, then shake again for another 3-5 seconds. Then it was over.

    I felt it in my 10th floor apartment in Quincy. My roommate thought it was wind but we've both in Tokyo when there was an earthquake before, so it didn't feel like just high-rise wind....

    Felt it in Milton, NH - about 20 miles away from Lake Arorwhead. Whole house shook, everything fell off our counters, and it lasted for about 30 seconds. Wow!
